All glass supplied by Sussex County Windows meets - and in fact exceeds - the minimum ‘U’ rating of 1.8 in a standard double glazed unit, as required by FENSA.
All our units comply with these requirements by using tripleshield soft coat glass, which is argon gas filled as standard. This creates a unit with a ‘U’ value of 1.2
This means our customers get 50% more energy efficiency at no extra cost.
In addition, all our glass comes with a warm edge spacer-bar as standard instead of the old fashioned Aluminium bar. This helps prevent the cold transferring from the outside of the unit, which causes condensation and heat loss.
Our units can reduce the amount of condensation and heat loss by up to 98%.
